So last night I had a bible study at my church in preparation for our youth gathering event we're going on in July. We talked about Christian Vocation. Which is you as a Christian helping out in the world, etc. Which I guess has to do with being called to go do God's work. When my pastor asked if we felt "called" to go down to New Orleans and help, about half the people raised their hands. Not me. I almost felt like it was a bad thing, not being "called" to New Orleans. To tell you the truth, I have never felt "called," or have felt a deep connection to God. Is this a bad thing? I hope not. Sometimes I wish have have felt something "supernatural." Maybe it just isn't my time yet. Hmmm.

So I went to Tigers Roar last night. Tigers Roar is ALHS' talent Show they have every year. I liked it, though I definitely understand why some wouldn't. Most of the show was singing/ music. Which could get tiring. While I was watching the skits, and the actual shows I thought of the Old People. Old people are fine, but they come from a completely different generation. Obviously. Sometimes when I'm at the show I look at the OP (Old People) and think. All these skits, etc seem fine to me, and most likely to the rest of my peer group. There is some rapping at the place, and some dudes in leotards and hot pink stripper boots. I'm not ranting, not at all. but I do wonder what the OP do think about some of these very interesting skits

So I saw Watchmen on Friday. It was really amazing. I loved it. This movie is about "Superheros." But it is really unconventional. Only one of them is actually a superhero, and that happened in a scientific accident. This movie was original a Graphic Novel Mini-series in the 80s. The heroes in this movie have problems, they aren't perfect, in actuality, they are far from it. Because of Watchmen, other comic book and graphic novel heroes have faults and imperfections. Even the god-like figure of Dr. Manhattan, who you colud almost, but not really, compare to Superman, is not perfect. This makes the story of Watchmen very relatable in a weird way. I'm so glad i got to see this movie.
